Helen Holden Area Teams Championship at Bates Nationals
Please note that the Teams Championship is taking a more formal approach this year - in the past we have had riders simply turn up at the office nominating themselves / friends in a team which is not in the true spirit of an Area Teams Championship. Additionally it has caused a lot of work for the office staff on the day as some riders get nominated for more than one team, some do not even belong to the area they are nominated for, some teams borow a rider from another area when in fact there were more riders available from their own area
So - for 2012 we atre trying a new approach where all team/ s should be sanctioned by the official area group (and therfore can be selected by) rather than a an area official at the event simply being asked to sign a form by a group of riders who have selected their own team
We believe this process will give more status to the Team Championship and teams will be truly respresentative of their areas
Plaese be aware of this and be ready to action as nominations are sought by 2nd Feb
However, given the change of process we will give a little leeway this year and accept official team nominations up until 15 Feb
If for any reason a team combination is forced to withdraw, substiutions can be made with the area permsision

Expressions of Interest are invited from North Island Young Riders competing at Level 4 and above who may be interested in travelling to the South Island Dressage Championships incorporating the Southern Trust SI Pony & Young Rider Championships and the York Corporation Inter Island Challenge Trophy (Derby Style competition - second round on borrowed horses).

A travel subsidy of $100 per combination is offered plus there will be a subsidy on the Inter-Islander Ferry

This is an opportunity to experience Inter-Island travel, a team competition and southern hospitality at the excellent McLeans Island venue from 3-5 March

Dressage Bay of Plenty is the combination of the four dressage groups in the Bay of Plenty Area - Rotorua, Tauranga, Eastern Bay and Taupo.

Within the area, we hold competitions all year round with the Dresssage Bay of Plenty Championship Show held in October at the National Equestrian Centre in Taupo.
